Frequently asked questions
How are Dyson flexing plates different to floating plates?
Floating plates are solid – they just move around to adjust their angle, which can help bring plates closer together while clamping.
But to straighten hair you need a combination of heat, tension and control. Floating plates cannot control the hair very well, so tension
is applied unevenly and hair splays out – meaning more heat is needed.
Dyson’s flexing plates are different. They actually bend, shaping to gather hair neatly together. This extra control makes a big difference –
delivering enhanced styling with less heat. And therefore, half the damage¹ to your clients’ hair.
How can I optimise run time for professional use?
With up to 30 minutes cord-free run time on a single charge³ the Dyson Corrale™ straightener gives you plenty of styling time.
But if you need to style for longer, there are two easy ways to increase this.
1) Cord-free: Just place the straightener in the charging dock whenever it’s not being used. It recharges to 90% in just 40 minutes, so regular boosts will increase run time.
2) Corded: To maximise run time, simply attach the magnetic charging cable during use to style in hybrid charge mode.
How long is the guarantee for the Dyson Corrale™ straightener?
The Dyson Corrale™ straightener has been tested with professional stylists to ensure it withstands the rigours of salon life. It comes with a Dyson guarantee for 2 years, parts and labour – with telephone support from Dyson experts should you need it.
